If you have an accident

Your safety comes first. Stay calm and follow these steps.

  1. 1Check for injuriesDon't move anyone who is hurt unless they're in immediate danger.
  2. 2Call 000 if neededIf anyone is injured, the damage is serious or the road is blocked.
  3. 3Swap detailsName, address, phone, licence and rego of every other driver.
  4. 4Take photosThe scene, where each car is, and all the damage.
  5. 5Tell usCall your location or 13 27 27 as soon as you can. We'll tell you what to do with the car.
